Authenticity guide · updated 2026-06-21
Five things real Yeezy items get right that counterfeits get wrong — plus a free risk check using live retail prices. Remember: these are signals, not proof.
Chapter 01 — The tells
Genuine Yeezy packaging has crisp printing, correct fonts and accurate logo placement. Counterfeits often show blurry text, off-color boxes, misaligned logos or spelling errors on the box.
Check the barcode/UPC scans to the real product, and verify any edition number, element ID or hologram the brand uses. Missing or duplicated serials are a red flag.
If a Yeezy item is priced far below the typical retail median, treat it as a warning sign — counterfeiters compete on price. Use our checker to compare against live retail data.
Favor authorized retailers and established sellers. Brand-new accounts, very few reviews, or a low orders-to-reviews ratio (genuine sellers usually sit around 4:1 to 8:1) raise risk.
Ask for real photos of the actual item (not stock images), ideally with today's date written on paper beside it. Inspect paint, seams, weight and materials against official references.
